National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) is one of the most prestigious student organizations in the nation, recognizing high school students who excel in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. At Groveport Madison High School, our NHS chapter is dedicated to upholding these four pillars while fostering a culture of academic excellence and civic responsibility.

Membership in NHS is both an honor and a responsibility. Students are selected based on their academic performance, commitment to community service, demonstration of leadership, and strength of character. Once inducted, members participate in school-wide and community service projects, take part in leadership development opportunities, and serve as role models within the school.

Eligibility & Selection
Students who meet the GPA requirement (3.5 or higher) are invited to apply during their sophomore, junior, or senior year. A faculty council reviews applications based on the national standards of NHS and selects students who best represent the values of the organization.
